Jamaat-e-Islami submits memo against Rohingya killings in UN; to hold protest march on June 14
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday submitted a memorandum in the United Nations against killing of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
As per reports, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Sirajul Huq submitted the memorandum on behalf of his party. While talking to media outside the UN office, he said that the worst genocide of Rohingya muslims continues in Myanmar whereas they are forced to flee their homes in ships. “More than four million Muslims have been martyred till date,” he said. “Still, the silence of global community especially UN is beyond comprehension.”
While announcing a protest march in favour of the Rohingya Muslims on June 14, the JI chief criticized the OIC for keeping criminal silence on this issue and termed its existence meaningless.
