JI workers try to march towards Myanmar Embassy, scuffle with police
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Jamaat-e-Islami took out a rally to protest atrocities against Rohingya Muslims from Aabpara Chowk on Friday.
The protesters had a scuffle with the police when they tried to march towards the Myanmar Embassy. The police had erected barbed wires on the route to the embassy.
The protesters chanted slogans against the Myanmar government and demanded an immediate end to atrocities against the Rohingya Muslims.
The police had sealed the Red Zone and made stringent security arrangements in the area.
Demonstrations were also staged in several cities, including Karachi, Multan, Gujranwala and Peshawar.
