JIT formed to probe into Intizar murder case
KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh Home Department has issued a notification announcing the formation of a joint investigation team to probe into the fatal shooting of a teenager by policemen.
The team has been asked to complete the inquiry in 15 days.
Counter Terrorism Department’s Additional Inspector General Sanaullah Abbasi will head the JIT which also includes officers from the Rangers and the intelligence agencies.
Ishtiaq Ahmad, the father of the deceased Intezar Ahmed, reiterated on Monday that he did not trust police. He said the police were hostile towards his family.
The chief minister sought to assure him that a fair investigation will be carried out.
