JIT rejects Capt Safdar’s application for change of date for his appearance
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has on Wednesday rejected the application of Captain (r) Safdar, son-in-law of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regarding the changing of the date of his appearance before the six-man panel.
A meeting of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family in Panama Leaks case was held at Judicial Academy in Islamabad.
Sources said that the six-man panel constituted by the Supreme Court has rejected the Safdar, son-in-law of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regarding the changing of the date of his appearing before the JIT.
The JIT had summoned the premier’s son-in-law on June 24.
Meanwhile, former interior minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Rehman Malik will appear before the investigating team on June 23.
On the other hand, the JIT will submit its third report in the Supreme Court tomorrow.
