Judges’ detention case: Musharraf gets one-day exemption from appearance before court
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – An anti-terrorist court (ATC) granted former president General retired Parvez Musharraf exemption from court hearing on account the suspect’s ailment in the judges’ detention case on Friday and adjourned the hearing till June 5.
According to details, ATC judge Sohail Akram began the hearing of the case. While submitting Musharraf’s medical report in the court, his counsel stated that his client cannot attend the hearing due to ailment whereas he also has security concerns therefore; his client should be allowed one-day exemption. “My client has been granted permanent exemption in Akbar Bugti murder case by Quetta ATC which should also be granted in this case,” he requested.
The court after hearing the arguments of both the parties directed the counsel to submit Musharraf’s medical report and adjourned the hearing till June 5.
