Justice Jawwad S Khawaja takes oath as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Justice Jawwad S Khawaja took oath as the new Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday.
President Mamnoon Hussain administered oath to Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, during a ceremony held at the President House.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zaka Ashraf, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Amaan, federal ministers, Governors of all provinces and Supreme Court Judges attended the ceremony.
Justice Jawad S Khawaja will be the Chief Justice of Pakistan for just 24 days and will retire on September 9.
Meanwhile, Justice Anwar Zaheer will take oath as next Chief Justice of Pakistan on September 10.
