Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, son of national poet Allama Iqbal, laid to rest in Lahore
LAHORE (92 News) – Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, son of national poet Dr Allama Iqbal, was laid to rest in Lahore on Saturday.
He was 91. He was under treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital. A large number of people from different walks of life attended his funeral prayers, which was led by Dr Moeen Nizami.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Lahore High Court Chief Justice Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik and a large number of in-service and retired judges participated in the funeral.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.
