Karachi cyclone threat averted, wind-speed normal: Met department
KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that the cyclone dubbed Ashubha is no more a threat to Karachi.
As per the PMD, the threat has been averted following the return of wind-speed to normal in the Arabian Sea. “The speed of wind in Karachi is 10 nautical miles per hour,” the department said.
Earlier on Thursday, the PMD had issued a threat of cyclone in Karachi on account of a deep low pressure area developing in the sea at a distance of 1,600 km south of Pakistan coast.
