ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Friday ordered that Karachi’s mayor and deputy mayor be elected through secret ballot in 60 days.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali passed the order after hearing a petition by the Sindh government against various appellants.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan had reserved its judgement on the Sindh government’s plea against Sindh High Court’s verdict on the mode of election for Karachi mayor and deputy mayor.
