Kasur child abuse case: Five accused denied extension in interim bail

KASUR (92 News) – A local court refused the interim bail to five accused involved in the Kasur child abuse case on Monday.
Tanzeelur Rahman, a LHC employee, was also found involved in the case and orders have been issued to suspend the accused.
After the rejection of the bail, 12 accused are in police custody. However, one of the accused is on bail.
Under instructions from Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Punjab Home Department has written a letter to the Lahore High Court registrar for a judicial inquiry into the incident.
Meanwhile, petitions have been filed in the Lahore High Court to try the case in an anti-terrorism court.
