Kh Asif says 75-80pc areas receiving uninterrupted power supply

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif has said that 75-80 percent areas have been provided with uninterrupted electricity supply on the first day of Ramazan.

He said that the main reason for the power outages in some areas was an increase of 21,000 megawatts in demand during the last three days.

He said that they are aware of masses problems were trying to provide uninterrupted electricity during Ramazan.

The minister said K-Electric is responsible for providing electricity in Karachi. “Wapda is providing 650 megawatts to the K-Electric,” he said.


He said that they were providing electricity to the Karachiites despite the expiry of agreement with K-Electric.
