Khurshid Kasuri’s book launched despite Shiv Sena’s attack, threats
MUMBAI – Despite the Shiv Sena’s attack and threats, the book launching ceremony of Pakistan former foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri was held at the Hall of Culture, Nehru Centre, in Mumbai on Monday, reported 92 News.
Kasuri launched his memoir, Neither a Hawk nor a Dove: An Insider’s Account of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy. Speaking on the occasion, Kasuri said that he had accepted the invitation of Sudheendra Kulkarni, the organizer of the book launching ceremony, happily.
“I have brought the message of peace in India. The objective of the book is to remove misunderstandings between both countries over the Kashmir issue,” he said.
He condemned that attack on Sudheendra Kulkarni whose face was blackened by Shiv Sena activists.
Kasuri said that the war is not a solution to the problems. “India should take step towards peace and it will improve the region,” he added.
Sudheendra Kulkarni said that he could not be intimidated by the threats of Shiv Sena. He thanked Khurshid Kasuri for visiting India.
“Shiv Sena has tried to threaten me in its traditional way,” he said.
