Govt backtracking on its commitment about caretaker PM: Khurshid Shah
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah on Wednesday said that the government was backtracking on its earlier commitment regarding the appointment of caretaker prime minister.
While speaking to media persons, Khurshid Shah said that at this point, it was appearing that the matter regarding the appointment of caretaker prime minister will be settled through a parliamentary committee as the government was backtracking on its earlier commitment.
He said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has no authority to reject their nominees for the caretaker prime minister. He said that final meeting regarding the caretaker prime minister with PM Abbasi will be held tomorrow.
Earlier, the opposition leader and PM Abbasi have met five times but no consensus has been reached on the name for the position of caretaker premier.
