Khurshid Shah to send letter to PM for inquiry into Panama Leaks

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah will send a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for an inquiry into the Panama Leaks.

The letter contained the terms of reference (ToRs) finalized by the opposition parties.

92 News has received a copy of the letter.

Khurshid Shah said that the ToRs contained no such terms that the government should reject them.

He said that the prime minister should clarify his position over the Panama Leaks in the parliament.

Khurshid Shah said that sometimes ethics requirements were more stringent than the requirements of law.

He said that it was now need of the hour that the prime minister should present himself for accountability. “Being the head of the government, it is Nawaz Sharif’s responsibility that he should present the background of the issue before the nation,” he added.

He said that now the ball was in the court of the prime minister and he shoudl come to facts instead of emotional speeches.

On the other hand, the government has assigned the responsibility of contacting the opposition to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Law Minister Zahid Hamid.
