KP govt assures Nazims of fulfilling demands till Jan 5
PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has on Tuesday assured the protesting Nazims and councilors of fulfilling their demands till January 5.
The protesting Nazims divided into two groups, while the province’s Nazims and councilors ended their 11-hour long protest. The Nazims of Peshawar are still angry and decided to stage protest at the arrival of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan.
Earlier Nazims and councilors staged a protest demonstration on Monday against non-transfer of powers to grass-root level outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) assembly.
The protesters accused the provincial government of not transferring powers to the grass-root level, saying the government has failed to fulfill its promise even after a lapse of six months since the Local Government polls.
