KP govt decides to sack Khyber Bank MD Shamsul Qayyum

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet decided to sack Khyber Bank MD Shamsul Qayyum and issued him a show-cause notice in this regard.

The decision was made in a meeting on Tuesday.

KP Information Minister Shah Farman said that Shamsul Qayyum had tried to defame the Jamaat-e-Islami and charge-sheet the provincial government.

He said that Imran Khan’s statement given to BBC Urdu is being presented in a wrong way.


He said that the cabinet has decided to serve the termination notice on the Khyber Bank managing director under the law.

The cabinet approved to return the loans taken for billion tree tsunami. It also agreed on the 4th amendment to the Local Government Act.
