KSA-led Military Alliance: Decision to participate taken in national interest: Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has on Tuesday said that the decision regarding participation in 34-nation military alliance led by Saudi Arabia has taken in national interest.

Giving policy statement in Senate, Sartaj Aziz said that the Pakistan-India dialogues will resume soon, adding that we are in contact with the Saudi Arabian authorities to know about our role in 34-nation military alliance.

He said that the Pakistan’s role against Daesh will increase following participation in military alliance.

The adviser made it clear that it’s not a 34-nation military alliance but it’s a military coalition and Saudi authorities have clear stance that the coalition countries will determine their responsibilities.

Aziz said that Pakistan has done homework regarding its responsibilities and the pariliament will be taken in confidence when the homework would be completed.
