Lawyers, police clash erupt in district court in Muzaffarabad
MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) – The clash has been erupted between lawyers and police in district court in Muzaffarabad on Friday.
The district court was turned into a battleground after lawyers attacked an office of Rescue 1122, emergency service, along with clashing with the policemen after they tried to stop the violent behavior.
According to the sources, the clash was started due to the challan of woman lawyer’s vehicle. The Rawalpindi road was completed blocked where it witnessed long queues of traffic on both sides of the road.
The lawyers claimed that they were peacefully protesting on the arrest of their fellow worker but the police brushed off their peaceful demonstration with the force of baton charge and tear gas.
According to preliminary investigation, Azad Kashmir High Court has taken notice of the incident and ordered a probe into the matter.
