Legal complications: Dr Asim’s release delayed for one day
KARACHI (92 News) – The release of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Dr Asim Hussain has been delayed for one more as Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected the application to amend his release order on Thursday.
The case has now been sent to the SHC chief justice while senior judge Justice Irfan Saadat has also refused to give a decision on the application.
Moreover, instead of home, Dr Asim has again been shifted to hospital in an armored car.
Dr Asim would remain in jail for one more day while the supporters ready for his welcome would also have to wait.
The Sindh High Court (SHC) had on Wednesday ordered to release former federal minister and PPP leader Dr Asim.
The bail was granted in two corruption references while Dr Asim has also submitted his passports in the court.
