Lithuanian mother again gets custody of daughters for three months
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday again handed over the three girls to their mother a Lithuanian national for three months after she filed a petition requesting recovery of her daughters from ex-husband Jamshaid Siddique.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar was conducting hearing of suo motu notice of a Lithuanian woman’s plea of recovery of three daughters who were said to be in illegal custody of her ex-husband.
During the proceedings, the Lithuanian woman told the court that two weeks time was too less as the behavior of her daughters was not good.
Justice Ijazul Ahsan remarked that the girls didn’t meet their mother for seven years and it would take time.
Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh asked the girls not to worry about anything as they have right on both their father and mother.
The CJP remarked that the guardian would monitor all the matters.
The court then ordered to hand over the girls to their mother for three months and also ordered Dr Jamshaid to give residence and expenses.
