London to host talks on Pak- Afghan tensions

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A high-level Afghanistan-Pakistan meeting over tensions between the two Asian neighbors will be hosted by the British government in London today (Wednesday).

The meeting will be attended by Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, British National Security Adviser Mark Lyall Grant and his Afghan counterpart Haneef Atmar.

In his message on social media website, Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Omar Zakhilwal said that he will join the Afghan National Security Advisor Hanif Atmar at the high level Afghanistan-Pakistan meeting to be hosted by the British Government in London today.




The Afghan ambassador said that the meeting will focus on a mechanism for genuine Pak-Afghan cooperation on fighting terrorism, the current tense bilateral relations and the closures of crossing routes between the two countries.
