London Metropolitan police rejects Tariq Mir’s statement; says Tariq Mir & Sarfraz Anwar received Indian funds
LONDON – The London Metropolitan police has refused to accept the confessional statement of MQM leader Tariq Mir, 92 News reported.
London Metropolitan Police Spokesman Alan Crockford said that no such document was in the record of the London police.
In an e-mail to BBC Urdu, he said that after a thorough review, they could confirm that the statement was not document of the London Police.
The MMQ had strongly denied the statement.
In another document, London Metropolitan police revealed that money recovered from MQM London office was provided by the Indian government.
The documents also disclosed that Tariq Mir and Sarfraz Anwar had confessed to have received the Indian funds.
