Magnitude 5.5 earthquake shakes parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A magnitude 5.5 earthquake has struck very close to Islamabad along with parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.
The earthquake was felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Lahore, Abbotabad, Mansehra, Swabi, Battagram and Azad Kashmir.
The quake spread panic among people and they rushed out of their homes.
Residents reported buildings and vehicles shaking after the quake hit, but there were no immediate reports of major damage.
The local meteorologists put the size of the quake at magnitude 5.5 and the depth at just 10 kilometres in the North-East.
