KARACHI (92 News) – After annoyance shown by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, the IGP Sindh has transferred Malir SSP Rao Anwaar and asked him to report to the Karachi CPO.

The IG Sindh, DIG East, Additional IG Karachi and other officers were unaware of the press conference. ” Rao Anwaar had held the press conference without taking high-ranking officials into confidence,” the IG office said.

Sindh Home minister Sharjeel Memon said that no police officer is allowed to suggest ban on a political party. “The SSP misused his authority,” he said.

Meanwhile, investigations have been ordered to find on whose orders he had held the press conference.

Earlier, SSP Malir Rao Anwar had said that the MQM is a terrorist organisation, and its workers went to India to receive training from RAW. He also called for a ban on the MQM as it is “worse than the TTP”.
