Mall Road Tragedy: Govt forms joint investigation team
LAHORE (92 News) – The government has on Wednesday constituted a joint investigation team over the Mall Road tragedy.
Police and intelligence agencies representatives will also be part of the team.
The team will start its investigation today (Wednesday).
Meanwhile, the authorities have decided to attribute Police Lines Qila Gujar Singh with Zahid Mehmood Gondal, while the newly build Police Line will be named after Captain Ahmad Mubeen.
Earlier, a powerful bomb blast on Monday ripped through a protest in the provincial capital, killing at least 13 people and wounding dozens.
The explosion went off in Lahore’s busy Mall Road during a rally attended by hundreds of pharmacists protesting against changes to a drug sale law outside the provincial assembly building.
