Maryam Nawaz to appear before NAB in Lahore today
LAHORE (92 News) – Maryam Nawaz, daughter of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif, will appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Lahore on Tuesday.
According to sources, she will reach the NAB office from Jati Umra in a caravan. The PML-N workers have been directed to reach the said destination at 9:30 am.
On August 6, the NAB has summoned Maryam Nawaz in a case of illegal transfer of 200 acres of Jati Umra land.
In 2013, 200 acres of land was transferred to her in Raiwind, while 100 acres each were transferred to Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif. Sources said that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) rules were completely ignored in transfer of land.
The NAB also decided to investigate former DCOs Noorul Amin Mengal and Ahad Cheema in this regard. Earlier in May, the NAB Lahore had opened an investigation against the Sharif family for ‘illegally acquiring’ hundreds of acres of land in Raiwind to include it in its Jati Umra residence.
