Maryam Nawaz wants Interior Ministry to probe police, lawyers’ clash
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Friday said that despite permission by the court for lawyers to witness the proceedings, they were barred from entering the courtroom.
Talking to media in Islamabad after hearing outside Judicial Complex, she said that she is saddened by the incident.
The former PM’s daughter went on to say that the Interior Ministry should carry out investigation into the incident.
Earlier, a clash between police and lawyers’ erupted when the security personnel barred them from entering the courtroom.
The clash ignited when a lawyer slapped a police official.
The agitating lawyers also threatened they won’t let the hearing start until all the lawyers weren’t allowed to enter the court.
