Mastermind of Safoora tragedy arrested, says Ch Nisar
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan has said that some culprits, including the mastermind, involved in the Safoora tragedy have been arrested.
Talking to newsmen outside Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said this is a big achievement that some of the culprits of the tragedy have been nabbed within just four days of the crime.
“This is because of the superb performance of our security and intelligence agencies. Those arrested belong to different groups,” he disclosed.
The minister said that it is now known who was behind the tragedy, who hatched the conspiracy and where it was planned.
About the Axact scam, the minister said he had already ordered an inquiry by the FIA which is being carried out by its seven-member committee representing cyber and corporate wings.
“It is a matter of respect and dignity of Pakistan. Foreign experts will be invited for the investigations. After a report, the axact chiefs will be investigated. No one can be declared accused at this time,” he said.
The minister urged the media, including The New York Times, not to create hype and jump to conclusions and instead wait for the ongoing investigations to complete.
He also clarified that neither inquiry committee has been changed nor name of anyone placed on the exit control list for which a specific procedure is followed.
