Matter forwarded to parliamentary committee over Punjab caretaker CM

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has not been reached on consensus over appointment of caretaker chief minister (CM) in Punjab ahead of general polls 2018.

According to the details, matter has been forwarded to the parliamentary committee whereas former opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed stated that the PTI has forwarded names to speaker for constitution of parliamentary committee.

If the parliamentary committee will also fail in solving the issue. In this case, the final verdict in the matter will be made by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

On the other hand, Balochistan CM and Opposition leader will meet for sixth time over appointment of the caretaker chief minister. The government gave the name of Hussain Bakhsh and the opposition nominated Ali Ahmad for iterim CM. Moreover, the ECP will decide the name for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caretaker chief minister.
