Maulana Fazlur Rahman terms Punjab Assembly ‘uxorious’
QUETTA (92 News) – Maulana Fazlur Rahman, chief of his faction of the JUI, has severely criticized the passage of the Protection of Women against Violence Bill on Friday.
He termed the Punjab Assembly as ‘uxorious’, saying it is the place where women rule. “The PML-N had opposed the bill during the Musharraf era, but now got it passed. It seems the dispute between the N-League and Musharraf was for power, not of ideologies,” he said.
The JUI-F chief said: “Instead of a lengthy legislation, the government should declare man as wife and wife as man.”
He said that the main reason behind the decline of the Muslim world was imposition of western traditions and laws.
