Miftah Ismail appointed Advisor to PM
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Miftah Ismail has been appointed Advisor to Prime Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, with the status of Federal Minister.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, President Mamnoon Hussain made the appointment in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 96 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the advice of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbas.
Consequent upon his appointment as Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr Ismail shall cease to hold the office of the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Economic Affairs, the notification added.
He has served as the Board of Investment Chairman Sui Southern Gas Company, Pakistan International Airlines and Director of renowned companies.
Miftah Ismail has also worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 90s as economy expert.
