Minor girl injured as youths defy ban on kite flying in Lahore
LAHORE (92 News) – A minor three-year-old girl wounded as youth in Lahore engaged in kite flying on weekend night, defying the ban in the provincial capital.
As per details, in Mughalpura area, a man namely Faheem, was heading towards his house with his minor three-year-old daughter on motorcycle when minor Malayeka injured after a kite string slit her neck.
She was shifted to local hospital, where she was said to be in critical condition.
Faheem also sustained injuries after falling from his motorcycle.
The government had imposed a ban on kite-flying in 2005 after glass-coated twine used to fly kites caused several deaths and injuries in congested neighborhoods. Motorcyclists and their pillion were the most frequent victims.
