Misuse of KP Govt Helicopters: NAB summons Pervez Khattak
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday summoned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in case pertaining to misuse of provincial government’s helicopter by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
The anti-graft watchdog will question the KP CM about the misuse of provincial government’s helicopter by PTI chairman Imran Khan.
Earlier, the NAB chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal had directed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Director General (DG) of the bureau to lodge an inquiry into use of KP government’s helicopter by the PTI chairman in personal capacity.
The provincial government led by PTI had submitted its response to anti-graft agency’s inquiry team.
The KP government had submitted the details of helicopter usage in its tenure and informed the anti-graft body that PTI chairman Imran Khan paid the expenses whenever he used the government’s helicopter.
Authorities have also submitted the record of helicopter’s purchase in 2008, usage, rules and regulations and purchase agreement to the National Accountability Bureau.
The PTI led government claimed in its response that the previous government used the helicopter more without paying any penny to the national exchequer.
