Mobile service again temporarily suspended in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The mobile services were temporarily suspended in parts of the federal capital prior to Friday prayers.
This is the third such incident to occur in Islamabad within the past month.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) suspended services in most parts of the capital. Sources said that the measure is being taken following the Lal Mosque Imam Moulana Abdul Aziz’s call for protest rally.
Lal Masjid administration had called for a protest after Friday prayers due to which security agencies were on high alert. The ministry, therefore, directed the PTA to suspend services.
