Model Town tragedy: ATC frames charges against 116 accused
LAHORE (92 News) – The anti-terrorism court framed charges against 116 accused, including then DIG Rana Abdul Jabbar, who pleaded not guilty.
The Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has made 12 political figures, including Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, and high-ranking police officers a party in the case.
The court also ordered all accused to appear on the next date of hearing so that indictment could be completed.
After the indictment, the statements of the witnesses will be recorded.
The Model Town tragedy victims had met Chief Justice Saqib Nisar who took the suo motu notice of the issue.
