Monsoon rains set to hit Pakistan from today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The first spell of monsoon rains is likely to lash different parts of the country from Monday (today).

Rains are likely in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Balochistan, Sindh, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan and the rain spell will persist throughout the week.

The met office has also advised the authorities concerned to remain alert during the week as heavy downpours may trigger flash flooding in hilly terrain and major cities.


Rain-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds and dust-storm is expected at scattered places of south-east Balochistan, upper Punjab, Hazara division, Islamabad and Kashmir.
