MQM Bahadurabad group moves ECP against Sattar-led intra-party polls
KARACHI (92 News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Bahadurabad faction leader Kanwar Naveed on Tuesday filed a petition in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against the intra-party elections of party’s PIB faction.
The petition was filed by the MQM-P’s Bahadurabad faction leader Kanwar Naveed.
The petition stated that the MQM-P’s PIB faction led by Dr Farooq Sattar had no rights to hold intra-party elections after the party’s Rabita Committee had removed him from his post as convener.
“That election might have been for some other group,” it said.
The ECP issued notices to the parties for February 27.
