MQM coordination committee terms arrest of workers ‘cruelty against public’
KARACHI (92 News) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) coordination committee on Thursday termed the arrest of its workers who were forcibly collecting Fitrana yesterday, “cruelty against public”.
Addressing a press conference, the committee question how is collecting donations a crime. “Arrest of the MQM workers is against humanity,” they insisted.
Earlier, 16 MQM workers were arrested by the police for forcibly collecting Fitrana from residents of certain areas in the city.
