MQM Hunger strike continues for third consecutive day
KARACHI (92 News) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) hunger strike continued for the third consecutive day against the atrocities committed by the authorities against the party over the past three years.
Large number of party leaders and workers including Farooq Sattar participated in the strike.
Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah visited the hinger striking camp and met the MQM leaders.
On the other hand, six activists of the MQM were released on the intervention of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
Previously, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had initiated a hunger strike unto death outside Karachi Press Club on the atrocities committed by law enforcement agencies against the party over the past three years.
The hunger strike was announced by party leaders Farooq Sattar and Amir Khan during a press conference held at Khursheed Memorial Hall in Azizabad.
The hunger strike camp is attended by party’s Coordination Committee members, CEC, Parliamentarians and along with a large number of workers.
