MQM launches Clean Karachi Campaign
KARACHI (92 News) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has on Thursday launched Clean Karachi Campaign (CKC).
Karachi’s designated Mayor Waseem Akhtar said that the government shouldn’t create hurdle between in their work as the government has not done anything.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s nominated mayor Waseem Akhtar has on Thursday said that the whole Karachi has become a pile of garbage but the Sindh government was creating hurdles in the city’s cleanliness drive.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi in the wee hours of Thursday, Waseem Akhtar said that there is dire need of cleanliness drive as Karachi had become a waste dump and the sewerage system had also been decimated, while the burning of waste is also causing pollution in the city
MQM workers are taking part in the campaign, while the senior party leaders are also present with party workers as the campaign has been initiated at Numaish Churangi, DMC South Karachi, Lines Area and other areas of the city.
On the other hand, Local Bodies minister Jam Khan Shoro said that the cleanliness drive is underway in the city for the last one month.
He said that the government will not allow any party to put flags on government machinery and do politics, adding that if Waseem Akhtar should get treatment if he has any problem.
