MQM members betraying party to be issued notices: Sabzwari
KARACHI (92 News) – Amidst allegations of votes-for-bribes, several Muttahida Qaumi Movement leaders apologized on Monday for what they called disloyalty shown by some of their colleagues in Senate elections.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Faisal Sabzwari and Khwaja Izhar said that the MQM was not up for sale.
They said that the members failing to follow party instructions had embarrassed them by voting for MQM’s political opponents.
Sabzwari said that the Pakistan People’s Party had apparently bribed some MQM members. He announced to issue show-cause notices to the members betraying the party.
Khwaja Izhar said that the MQM had always stood role of wealth in parliamentary elections.
Farooq Sattar said that the entire election was rigged.
