MQM-P factions agree to field joint candidates for Senate polls
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Two factions of the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) agreed on Friday to field joint candidates for the Senate polls.
Farooq Sattar announced the list of joint five candidates including Farogh Nasim advocate, Kamran Tessori, Abdul Qadir Khanzada and Dr Nighat for the general seats and Sanjay Parwani for a minority seat.
Farooq Sattar and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also announced to continue contacts for other matters.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi, convener of the Bahadurabad faction of the Mutahidda Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, said that Barrister Farogh Nasim was their candidate for the Senate.
He said Kamran Tessori had been nominated by Dr Farooq Sattar. Sattar and Siddiqi were speaking at a joint press conference in Islamabad.
