MQM-Pakistan rejects census results, announces protest at Quaid’s tomb
KARACHI (92 News) – Following the footsteps of other parties, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan) has on rejected the results of 6th population census held earlier in 2017.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi on Tuesday, MQM-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar announced to stage a protest demonstration at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He said that the people of Sindh are being pushed to the wall, adding that the Sindhis are being made as Red Indians and third-class citizens in their own country.
Sattar said that doing injustice to Karachi is tantamount to playing with country’s sovereignty, adding that the city is the economic backbone of the country.
Earlier today, Pak Sarzarmeen Party (PSP) had also rejected the results of 6th population census held earlier in 2017.
Talking to media, PSP leader Anees Advocate said that the PSP had written a letter to the head of the armed forces expressing concerns on the census.
He declared the census as bogus and expressed concern over showing less population of the metropolis. The PSP announced to move Supreme Court in this regard.
