KARACHI (92 News) – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has rejected the allegations levelled in the BBC report.

After the publication of the BBC report, the MQM Rabita Committee in Pakistan and Britain held a joint meeting and issued a declaration.

“The MQM is a patriot political party, which firmly believes in the solidarity and stability of Pakistan,” says the declaration.

It said that several allegations, including the formation of Jinnahpur, were levelled against the MQM, but all of them proved baseless.

“The BBC report is also part of the ongoing media trial against the MQM and it will die out itself,” it said.

On the other hand, MQM leader Muhammad Anwar said that it was unbelievable that the MQM had said no comments about the BBC report.

“The MQM had sent a detailed e-mail about the BBC story,” he said.
