Muslim minorities are not safe in India, says FM Qureshi
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Expressing sorrow over blasphemous incident in India, Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Muslims minorities are no t safe in India.
In a statement on Thursday, the minister mentioned that the blasphemous incident in India has hurt the sentiments of Muslims. He also expressed his surprise over the arrest and killing of Muslims in the wake of the incident.
FM Qureshi said the Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and other human rights organizations to take notice of the incident. He said it is not an internal issue but that of the humanity.
The foreign minister said Pakistan has the right to raise this issue. “We take up the matter with the officials of Indian High Commission yesterday and gave our reaction,” he added.
FM Qureshi said Muslim minorities are not safe in India. He further said Pakistan is raising the issue of Islamophobia at every international forum.
