Myanmar ambassador summoned, protest lodged over atrocities
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Myanmar Ambassador Ambassador U Win Myint was summoned at Foreign Office to lodge protest over atrocities against Rohingya Muslims.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua stressed effective measures to prevent the recurrence of such violence, providing security to Rohingya Muslims and upholding their rights to live and move without fear and discriminations.
She asked the Myanmar government for urgent investigations into the recent violence against Rohingya Muslims and holding accountable those involved in these serious crimes.
He assured the secretary to convey the concern of the Pakistan government and people to the Myanmar government.
