NA-120 by-polls: ECP sets petition against Pervaiz Malik for hearing
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Friday set the petition against federal minister Pervaiz Malik for hearing on August 28.
The petition was filed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Faisal Mir.
The petition contended that the government is use state machinery to influence NA-120 by-elections.
Federal Minister Pervaiz Malik is running the NA-120 campaign on the behalf of Kalsoom Nawaz, wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
The ECP while setting the petition for hearing ordered Pervaiz Malik to submit response until August 28.
The ECP had warned that no development funds should be released for NA-120 before the by-polls.
