NA-246 by-election: After JI and MQM, PTI to set stage for show of power today
KARACHI (92 News) – After Jamaat-e-Islami showed off political might on April 17, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on 18, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to set stage for its rally today (Sunday).
The PTI Chairperson Imran Khan reached Karachi yesterday (Saturday) to lead the rally at the Shahrah-e-Pakistan today. Upon his arrival, he said that the era of poll-rigging has gone by. “If Karachi flourishes, Pakistan flourishes,” he said.
Talking about his party’s failure to form alliance with the JI, he said that the party wanted an alliance with the JI in the by-election. “If they want to compete, it’s their choice,” he said.
The PTI chairperson made it clear that if ghost polling stations are formed the Election Commission will be approached.
