NA-246 by-election: Farooq Sattar says effort being made to reduce MQM victory margin
KARACHI (92 News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar has said that effort is being made to reduce his party’s victory margin in the ongoing NA-246 by-election.
Speaking in a press conference at MQM headquarter on Thursday, the MQM leader demanded that polling time should be increased for three hours along with lifting the ban on pillion riding. “The voters’ enthusiasm is praise-worthy,” Farooq said. “However, serious efforts are being made to reduce the MQM’s heavy margin.”
Farooq Sattar said that MQM voters are being harassed in the name of security, verification process and frisking, so that they return without casting their votes. “The Election Commission (ECP) must take notice of the situation,” he said. “The voters should not lose heart due to such circumstances.”
