NAB arrests Abbas Jakhrani in Jacobabad embezzlement case
SUKKHUR (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkhur arrested Mir Abbas Khan Jakhrani, the cousin of Ejaz Jakhrani, on Friday on allegations of embezzlement of funds worth millions of rupees in education works District Jacobabad.
Jakhrani will be presented before an accountability court today for physical remand. He has been accused of bribing Rs150 million in the name of repairs in government schools in Jacobabad district.
The amount was transferred to the account of Jakhrani from 15 different people including Azad Khan Behrani. The little amount was spent on the repairs of school buildings.
Mir Abbas Jakhrani has already been facing NAB inquiry into the purchase of a explosive-proof vehicle. He is on bail from the Sindh High Court (SHC) in the case.
